SEW stands for Secret to Everyday Wellbeing. The method is built around the idea that caring for your mental health can become part of everyday life, rather than something you only think about when you are struggling.

The SEW Balance Method™ is designed for adults, college students, and student athletes, with resources that can also support clinicians, colleges and universities, and athletic programs.

4. What are the 15 SEW Factors?

The SEW Factors are 15 areas that influence everyday wellbeing, organized into Vital, Central, and Intentional Factors. They include areas such as sleep, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, relationships and support, mindfulness, self-awareness, technology use, optimism, and time in nature.

5. What is the SEW Balance Assessment?

The SEW Balance Assessment is a free, five-minute wellbeing check-in built around the 15 SEW Factors. It provides a personalized snapshot to help you see which areas may deserve more attention and where you may have room to make a difference.

6. Is the SEW Balance Method™ therapy?

No. The SEW Balance Method™ is an educational wellbeing resource and is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or mental health treatment. It can complement professional support by helping people strengthen self-awareness and everyday wellbeing skills.

7. How can colleges, universities, and athletic programs use SEW Balance?

SEW Balance resources can be incorporated into coursework, student success and wellbeing initiatives, counseling support, and student-athlete programming. The goal is to complement existing resources with practical, prevention-focused tools that are easy to integrate into everyday campus life.
